| The older brother of Simon
Williams, Eric Williams was different from his brother in every way, where
Simon defined himself by his virtue, Eric defining himself by his cruelty
and crimes. Idealizing his brother, Eric both admired and resented his
brother. While Eric found his fortune in crime, Simon inherited the family business, but it began to fail. Desperate to save the family business Simon turned to his criminal brother for help - an act which lead to embezzlement and Simon's arrest. After a series of events lead to Simon's transformation into Wonder Man and his apparent death, Eric blamed the Avengers for his brother's demise and using his criminal contacts transformed himself into the vengeful Grim Reaper. |
