| Desiring to claim the
birthright of her clan, Siobhan McDougal was banished by her brother to a
netherworld. Given great mystical power by an old crone she returned
to retrieve a book of magic in exchange for her powers. Searching in
Metropolis
she ran afoul of
Superman, who required the assistance of fellow
Justice League member
the
Martian
Manhunter to defeat the thief. After achieving vengeance upon her
brother, McDougal would return many times to menace Superman as the wailing
Silver Banshee. Either of McDougal or an
entity which provided her powers returned to the city of Metropolis on
Halloween night - possessing Daily Planet journalist Artemisia using her
disgust with the city as a catalyst to create fear and commit murder as the
Silver Banshee. |
