|Robert Kanigher & Sheldon Moldoff|
While attending college Pamela Isley, a brilliant botany student, is seduced by her science teacher, Dr. Jason Woodrue (Floronic Man), and convinced to become the integral part in his plant-toxin experiments. Unknown to a young and trusting Isley, Dr. Woodrue introduced deadly toxins into her bloodstream that fused with her very essence, turning her into something beyond human. Strangely, this gave Isley a resistance to all poisons but it also gave her a poisonous touch and the infamous deadly poisoned kiss.
With these new found abilities Isley would wreak havoc in Gotham City by committing crimes of eco-terrorism and crimes of passion, a passion held mainly for the Batman, who continues to spurn the seductive and deadly desires of Poison Ivy.
