Origin
In the beginning there existed a being with the power of infinity. Even with control over all that is, this sole being grew lonely and by its own hand self-destructed giving birth to the universe - its body shattering into seven gems possessing control over aspects of space, time, power, reality, the mind, soul and ego. Any entity that possessed any one gem was granted great power. Obsessed with controlling this power to serve his mistress Death, the mad Titan, Thanos brought all the gems together as the Infinity Gauntlet.
