| Origin | |
| After limited success working with other super-powered criminals in several incarnations of the Serpent Squad, Seth Voelker (Sidewinder) invested funds from one of his more profitable illegal contracts to organize a new group. Under an assumed name Voelker purchased a former mental hospital to serve as a base of operations and he began recruiting members with similar snake-themed motifs and powers. Offering privileges and benefits that none of them would have had operating alone they collectively became known as the Serpent Society. |
