Intending to supplant Hitler and achieve world domination, the Red Skull assigned Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker, the leader of the infamous Death's-Head and Blitzkrieg Squadrons, to create a power base in the Orient.  From these seeds of conspiracy grew a criminal terrorist organization which would reach it tentacles around the world known as HYDRA.
