Creator
Stan Lee & Jack Kirby
Origin

Loki, Thor's evil half-brother manipulated the Hulk in a ploy to destroy his heroic sibling. Drawn into the fray were Iron Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp. Discovering he had been used as a pawn the "Green Goliath" joined the other heroes and foiled Loki's plans. The heroes banded to form Earth's mightiest heroes.

Through the years, their roster has prospered, changing many times, but their glory has never been denied! When no single hero can withstand a common threat, all heed the call, then - as now, the Avengers Assemble!
