A lonely girl, Angelica Jones was raised by her father and grandmother.
Around the same time that her mutation developed, Jones's grandmother died
and her father sent her to the Massachusetts Academy, an elite preparatory
school which housed a clandestine
school for mutants run by the school's administrator
Emma Frost. Frost attempted to manipulate Jones into becoming an assassin, but she escaped Frost's plans and eventually became associated with the New Warriors, a group of young heroes, as Firestar. |
