Origin
Young Diana (Wonder Woman I) was lonely living on an island of immortal adult women, and desired a playmate.  The sorceress Magala had Diana pass in front of a magical mirror, and when she passed the image followed her out of the mirror, creating a sister.

Thinking the avatar was Diana, she was abducted by Dark Angel, an old enemy of Queen Hippolyta.  Avatar was forced by Dark Angel to live out numerous lives of misery.  After the final battle with Dark Angel, Donna Troy was left a lifeless husk.  She was resurrected by Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth and Wally West's (Flash III) memories of her to create a being of living truth, Troia.
