speed, agility, stamina, invulnerability, super-sonic flight, laser

nutrition, liquid, air or rest for long periods of time and an extremely
long life expectancy. Note: Although Daxam physiology responds to yellow solar radiation in the same manner that Kryptonians like Superman they do not share the same vulnerability to Kryptonite. Instead Daxamites are vulnerable to the common element lead. M'Onel's vulnerability to lead is halted by a serum created by Brainiac 5 after he cured him of lead poisoning. The serum must be taken regularly and has the beneficial side effect of rendering an immunity to red solar radiation. |

| Origin | |
| Born
in the 20th century, Lar Gand wandered the galaxy after learning of
his father's death. For a short time, he assisted
L.E.G.I.O.N., a
private interplanetary security force, under the code name
Valor. An alien race called the Dominators had genetically reengineered hundreds of captive Earthlings to a point where they could no longer survive on their native planet. Valor not only rescued them but found planets suitable for their altered metabolism, thus 'seeding' many of the worlds that would eventually form the United Planets. Later, dying from lead poisoning, Lar Gand was spared when Superboy projected him into a timeless, spaceless dimension known as the Stasis Zone. A thousand years later he was released and cured by the Legion. To avoid being mobbed by millions of faithful Valor-worshippers, Lar adopted a new secret identity, taking the ancient Martian name for wanderer, M'Onel. |
