| Origin | |
| The Amerind were
originally Native American Indians who migrated from Earth to the planet
Starhaven in the 23rd Century. Manipulating their genetics the Amerind
developed large natural wings which allowed them to fly. The only daughter of three children born to Mistrider and Moonwalker, Dawnstar developed a powerful mutation allowing her to break the barrier of Starhaven's orbit and travel the vacuum of space. Her parents saw an opportunity to capitalized on their daughter's talents and marketed her as a guide to spacecraft traveling through hazardous sectors of space. Honing her tracking skills she later became a bounty hunter, until she was recruited to join the Legion of Super-Heroes. |
