| Origin | |
| Walter
West apparently lived out his life much like his counterpart Wallace
West (Flash III), except that he
was unable to save his future wife,
Linda
Park's life from the cult leader known as
Kobra. Sick with grief, Walter joined forces with the super-speed villain Savitar, learned his tricks of controlling the Speed Force, and murdered him. Turning his new skills on the criminal element of his timeline, Walter maimed or killed many, making him a wanted fugitive known as the Dark Flash. The Dark Flash appeared for sometime in the Earth-1 timeline, apparently investigating this timelines Wally West (Flash III) and his predecessor Barry Allen (Flash II). His motivations and what facts his investigation revealed are unknown. Eventually Dark Flash's presence began to cause Hypertime instability, forcing him to leave this timeline and seek out his own, or one that would not be threatened by his presence. His current whereabouts are unknown. |
