| Origin | |
| The origins of
Devil
Dinosaur are clouded by the passing of time. One origin tells of a
dinosaur native to Earth's pre-historic past, the other alludes to an alien
creature that evolved on a planet similar to pre-historic Earth. Either way, what is known is that the dinosaur was born on a hostile planet in a volcanic region known a the Valley of Flame. As a young dinosaur he and his family were trapped atop a volcano by the ape-like Killer-Folk, who slew his mother and siblings. Although the young dinosaur ferociously fought for survival he was severely burned with torches which scorched his hide from olive green to flame red. Rescued by a member of the Small-Folk known as Moon Boy, the dinosaur was nursed to health, but the burns he sustained activated a mutation which made him more powerful than others of his species and colored his hide permanently red. Moon Boy took the red dinosaur to his native village, but the inhabitants fled in terror. With only each other for companionship the two wandered the hostile planet in search of adventure. |
