Origin
Betty Ross is the only child of Air Force General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross and his wife Karen, who died when Betty was a teenager.  Incapable of copping with a teenaged daughter both emotional and professionally General Ross sent Betty to a boarding school.

After graduation Betty returned to her father who was now managing a top secret Gamma Bomb project in the New Mexico dessert.  There Betty met and fell in love with Dr. Bruce Banner (Hulk II), of which General Ross disapproved.

When Dr. Banner was exposed to intense Gamma Radiation transforming him into the monstrous Hulk, Betty became one of the few people capable of calming the savage beast.

Due to his unique situation, Dr. Banner and Betty Ross had a rough and rocky romance.  Eventually Betty would marry a man her father would approve of, Air Force Major Glenn Talbot, but it ended in divorce.

Betty and Dr. Banner would reunite and be separated several times in their history, until their final separation due to Betty's death due to Gamma Radiation poisoning caused by the Hulk's greatest enemy the Abomination.

Betty was put into a state of preservation at an unknown military base, where she was eventually resurrected and given a new identity and purpose.
