| Origin | |
| Born
from the consciousness of the Universe known as
Eternity, the ultimate
goal of the Celestials is not known and may not be fathomable by mere
mortal creatures. Visiting Earth, as they have countless worlds, several times over the eons, the Celestials manipulate the indigenous sentient population granting the ability to develop advanced technology or superhuman abilities. Each planet they visit is imbued with a "celestial seed" which will eventually mature in to one of their host, destroying the planet with its birth. Until that time, the beings of the planet will serve as unknowing anti-bodies protecting the planet from the only entity powerful enough to challenge these mysterious gods of the stars, a being born of the previous reality, Galactus. |
